Darling Diva Polish // Hug My Face Collection (AKA Alien Collection)

Hello dear readers!
Today, I'm excited to show you a gorgeous collection from Darling Diva Polish

The Hug My Face Collection is inspired by the Alien movies and I swatched 9 of the 10 polishes for you. They are all beautiful and they have amazing names!!!

A-ffirmative is a blue holo with a delicate (camera shy) pink shimmer. I applied 3 thin coats for these photos. No application issue. This is a gorgeous bright shade!

Carrie's inspiration: "A-ffirmative is the adorable line said by Newt in Aliens. I wanted the color to remind you of her beautiful blue eyes."

Bad Ass is a black scattered holo. I applied 2 coats for these photos, but coverage is awesome with just one. No top coat except for the macro shot.

Carrie's inspiration: "Bad Ass, just like the Colonial Marines. This black scattered holo is just what I could see Vasquez wearing.....after she kicked someones ass."

❀ ✿ ✾ ✽ ❃ ❋

Did IQs Just Drop Sharply While I Was Away? is a black jellyish based polish with red shimmer, holographic shimmer and violet flakies. The red shimmer gives a brown look to the black base. I applied 2 coats for these photos, and one coat of top coat. Even with all these gorgeous flakies, I had no application issue. This one is a pretty unique polish!

Game Over, Man! is an intense red jelly polish full of holo glitter shards and iridescent flashes. I applied 2 coats for these photos, but one coat gives a great coverage. I added one coat of top coat. As I said in my previous nail art post, after I applied this polish I didn't want to take it off... The red jelly (yet pretty opaque) base is beautiful, and the glitter shards are amazing. Just wait to see the macro shot ♥

Have You Ever Been Mistaken For a Man? is an intense deep purple holo and, as Carrie says, it's a must have for every purple fan. So, of course I LOVE it and it's my favorite of this collection ^^  I applied 2 coats for these photos. No top coat except for the macro shot. If you apply your polish carefully, one coat gives a full coverage! The purple is less intense though.

Carrie's inspiration: "Who could ever forget this classic line or the even better come back..... "No. Have You?" bwhahahahahah Vasquez is truly a bad ass."

❀ ✿ ✾ ✽ ❃ ❋

In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream is an intense black jelly polish full of holo glitter micro shards and iridescent glints! I applied 2 coats for these photos and 2 coats of top coat for a glossy finish. No application issue at all.

❀ ✿ ✾ ✽ ❃ ❋

Long Live The Queen! is a deep teal holo full of color shifting flakies. I applied 2 coats for these photos and one coat of top coat. The flakies are pretty camera shy but you can see some of them in the macro shot and they are gorgeous!

❀ ✿ ✾ ✽ ❃ ❋

Mother is a pale grey holo named after the massive ship in Alien. Mother was both a haven and their hell. I applied 3 coats for these photos. No top coat.

Xenomorph is a blackened green jelly with blue and green flakies, and color shifting microglitters (teal most of the time). I applied 3 coats for full coverage and one coat of top coat. No application issue.

Carrie's inspiration: "Xenormorph is the technical term for an alien that will gestate in your chest and burst out during dinner. Quite the conversation starter during a stuffy dinner with the inlaws, no?"

New Year's Nails! || China Glaze Pelican Gray

Few weeks ago, I told you about my love for the "Winter Icicle Nail Art Tutorial" of Sandy DandyNails. As I received all I needed to do it myself, I decided that will be my nail art for New Year's Eve :) So here's the result (the pictures really don't do justice to the beauty of the holographic glitter) :

Review: Born Pretty Store - Acrylic Powders & Monomer #01

Hi guys!!!!!! I'm so excited to finally be able to post this review =)
So, the last products from Born Pretty Store I chose to review are acrylic powder & acrylic liquid (monomer). My very first try was a free hand bow, because there is a video tutorial on the acrylic powder page on BPS showing how to create a bow with acrylic powder. But it wasn't a success :/ So I bought 3D molds...
Here are the pictures of my first attempts:

Essence Fame Fatal (Colour & Go 114)

Oh red nail polish... I don't really like you on my nails, lol! If you know me a little, you know that red isn't favorite nail polish color... It's just too "femme fatale" for me!
So when I was looking for a red nail polish to use for nail art, cause everyone need at least one red polish, I came across this red by Essence, with THE perfect name ^^
