Spring Nail Art inspired by Set in Lacquer ♥

Hello dear readers! The mani I'm sharing with you today is a special nail art I made for (and inspired by) my friend Kelly @Set in Lacquer, who recently decided to stop blogging for personal reasons - you can read her blog post about it here

Kelly is a really talented nail artist and I've always been amazed by her manicures. When she announced the sad news, Ashley @Ashley is PolishAddicted had an awesome idea and thought it might be nice to do tribute manis and shared them with the hashtag #WeWillMissYouSetInLacquer. You can join in if you want :)

I love so many of Kelly's nail arts, but I'm not gifted enough to copy most of them, so I chose this cute spring nail art. You can find Kelly's original nail art here. I picked this one because as she said in her blog post, it's "not really hard to do if you just look at it as shapes", and also because I love floral manis and I LOVE butterflies! (Hmm really?! Shocking news I know :P haha).

For this nail art, I applied Elevation Polish Weddell Sea on the tips - since Kelly was an Elevation swatcher so I thought it was appropriate. And then I used acrylic paint for the flowers and the butterfly. I finished off with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly on Top to seal the designs.

I really loved this mani on Kelly, and I think I didn't do a bad job here. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty proud of myself, haha. Eh, it doesn't happen often, so I had to share! ;)

To end this blog post, I'd like to show you guys some of my fave nail arts made by Kelly!

New Year's Nails! || China Glaze Pelican Gray

Few weeks ago, I told you about my love for the "Winter Icicle Nail Art Tutorial" of Sandy DandyNails. As I received all I needed to do it myself, I decided that will be my nail art for New Year's Eve :) So here's the result (the pictures really don't do justice to the beauty of the holographic glitter) :

Essence Fame Fatal (Colour & Go 114)

Oh red nail polish... I don't really like you on my nails, lol! If you know me a little, you know that red isn't favorite nail polish color... It's just too "femme fatale" for me!
So when I was looking for a red nail polish to use for nail art, cause everyone need at least one red polish, I came across this red by Essence, with THE perfect name ^^
